Help - League Structure

Hi all, I feel like I should know how to do this after playing the game for a decade, but I don't.

I'm expanding my fictional league from 24 teams to 28. The structure has been two divisions of 12, with two division champs and four wild cards (regardless of division) making the playoffs, so basically cross-division playoffs throughout.

I'd like to structure my expanded league to four divisions of seven, with essentially an East and West conference each having two divisions, and four teams per conference making the playoffs and playing a conference semi and final, and a championship series that is always East vs. West. But I don't want the teams in separate leagues... just one big league, like the NBA or NHL.

So can I structure the playoffs so that four teams per conference make it and we have an East playoffs and a West playoffs, then a final? Or do I need to put the teams in two leagues?

If I have to put them into separate leagues, is there a way to have the awards not go to one player from each league, but one overall player from both leagues?

Yes I believe this is somewhat doable with the editable playoffs, the only thing would be it would be 1st and 2nd in each division. I dont know if wild cards would work because they could be any 4 teams from your league and theoretically all come from the same division. You would just have to make 1 league and four divisions and then when creating the custom playoffs set it up that those teams only make it. Do you mind creating a screenshot for us to glance at to see how the league is set up currently?

Customize the playoffs so that teams from the two "conference" divisions always meet each other in the semifinals.
