Hi football fans!
We are very happy to announce today that Jim Gindin, owner of Solecismic Software and creator of the long-running Front Office Football game franchise, has joined the OOTP Developments family! Jim and our team (led by Andreas) have already worked together for over 8 months, laying the groundwork for a franchise reboot which will proudly carry the name "Front Office Football". We have not finished the final feature list, and we have not set a specific release date, although we are targeting late 2018 at the moment. Since today is a special date for Jim (his company Solecismic Software celebreates its 20th anniversary), we figured it would be perfect timing to keep you in the loop about what was going on here behind the scenes. The new Front Office Football is based on the existing FOF engine and the OOTP user interface. The design has been rewritten from the ground up and should form the basis of years of new development. We will announce more specifics in the coming months, so stay tuned! Exciting times are ahead. All the best! Markus, Jim, Andreas and the entire OOTP Developments family ![]()

Now that sounds like a plan - I have played FOF and while the engine seems to produce consistent results I never really felt like I knew what was going on to underneath the hood and hence would lose interest. Utilizing that engine with an OOTP interface sounds like a great marriage and I for one am really excited about what this could look like. Sign me up !

Just an idea
I'm excited to hear about the front office partnership, I'm currently in 2091 managing the Packers (still in green Bay). One thing I would love is to see the stats engine integrated with something akin to beyond the sidelines football. Btw the developer from that game is pretty active and is also a one man team. I understand there are difficulties and fof is way more complex. But who knows, it might work out.

Super pumped right now. Been waiting for a good football game for a long time now.
FOF also has a college version so OOTP can release a college football game someday if they want, which excites the heck out of me right now. Congratulations to OOTP, and welcome to the Solecismic Software group. Last edited by dumbrabbit; 02-20-2018 at 10:38 AM. |

Wow! That is great news. I’ve played FOF in the past and I always thought it had great depth but suffered from a non intuitive user interface. So, the idea of marrying the engine to the OOTP interface is terrific!
Thanks so much for the update! Last edited by james17; 02-20-2018 at 06:10 PM. |

I'm cautiously optimistic, been playing FOF for a while, and while the games interface is lacking, I enjoy the game. If it follows OOTP baseball I see a new version being pushed out every year, which can be good and bad..I hope they don't overhaul the game to much...Congrats on the merger..

Sweet news, I'm a big fan of Front Office Football 7, and I can't wait to see what it becomes in the coming years with OOTP Developments.
