Name Issues with Templates
(File uploaded as "Template Beta Test With Name Issues.lg.zip")
This started being an issue in OOTP 18. I couldn't really explain it well then but I hope I can now. Anyway, in a template, I've noticed that each first and last name is only being used by one ethnicity. Nameset 0 has a full complement, but go further and many names are not being used by the rest of the namesets. This is noticeable in the size of the names.dat files: A normal, created league (with a default database) has a 6,381 KB file while the template league (again, with a default database) has one that is 6,149 KB. (The former is not in the zip file.) This happens in the default world template. Advance some years and you'll find, as the best example since there's a league full of them, that new Australian players are given a very limited amount of first names; literally ten or fewer are chosen. I hope this makes sense this time around. |

Same thing happening to me with the Australian league, all my AI generated players have only 4 or 5 first names and 6 or 7 last names

I feel like I saw this somewhere else and it was either a settings issue or there was a simple fix for it.
I can't remember it or find the other thread now though ![]() Maybe it was just something as simple as re-importing the name and ethnicity database...
