Game freezes anytime I try to erase entire league history

As the title says, I've had issues with the game freezing when I try to wipe history. It's happened for two different files for me while attempting to setup a fictional universe. Both files were new custom games with all leagues selected. The first file started in 2018 and I simmed to the end of the season, wiped everything with zero issue, then simmed to 2035 and couldn't wipe the file without the game freezing. My second file was the same setup with modern everything, only different being the game started in 1880. I simmed to 1883 and wiped everything without issue, then simmed to 1890 where I again had the game freeze on me while attempting to erase all history. I even reinstalled OOTP19 and still had the freezing issue. Any ideas on how to fix the issue?

I'm playing on a PC with Windows 7. I have a 1 TB hard drive with 8 GB of RAM and i5-4670K @ 3.40GHz.

Edit: Should note it's only specifically selecting the "Erase the entire league history" option. I've also selected "Erase MLB career stats..." and "Erase all career stats..." with success so those aren't causing the issue for me.

Is it possible I'm not giving the game enough time to erase everything? I've given upwards of 30 or 45 minutes before force quitting, but is it possible it could take longer than that?

Did you ever solve this? I'm running into this issue now.

EDIT: I let it run overnight and it worked. So I don't know how long it took, but it did eventually get there.

Yeah, depending on how much history is in your league and how powerful your system is the process can take quite a while! So it's best to do this sort of thing overnight or at another time when you have something else to do for a little while and can just let the game run.
