All my save files got deleted

Hey so i bought ootp 19 on steam a week ago or so. Today while i was playing(on my mac) the game suddenly quit. After that an update was installed through steam. When i reopened the game ALL of my saves got deleted. is there any way to restore them?
Btw the i can find the save folder on my mac but in the game it doesnt show up

They were very likely not deleted. What sometimes happens is that something can come in and change the "data" folder, where we point to to look for saved games. If you open up the settings menu from the opening screen, and go to the troubleshooting and expert tabs, you should see some buttons to check:
-on the troubleshooting tab, you can try the "open folder containing saved games", which will show you where the game currently thinks your saved games are.
-On the expert tab, you should see an option to set the custom data path.

The first step is actually finding where your saved games are. You can either try searching on your system, or checking the locations around the other links on the troubleshooting tab, to see if you can find them. Once you have found them, you should be able to use the setting on the expert tab to point to the correct location to find your games.
