If that doesn't work then you could make them major league teams then import and switch them back to any league . I guess that would work.

Do you want the actual rosters or just the team name /logo, etc?

i haven't tried anything like this since last years beta testing. but my understanding is once you mess with the historical structure of the game, you change it to a fictional league and weird things begin (or can begin) to happen. And after whatever current year you are in, after the post-season, the game will attempt to restore it's original set-up and any teams self created with be vanquished and their players set-out to FA pasture.

now, i am not saying it's not possible, but i am thinking it would need to be originally set-up as a fictional league and then you can move things around as you please. However, players will go into FA instead of actual teams ( instead historical teams if you don't have a draft) if you chose to use historical players. (unless you want to undertake the gargantuan task of importing historical players manually then things become more possible.)

hope someone else has a better idea, but from what i've seen, it will be difficult (at best) to make it work correctly in an historical setting.

You can't import the full roster of a minor league team in one click or anything like that.

You could manually import each player that was on a specific milb team and get them in that way.

Just in case you did not know you can use a text file to import players or teams. I suggest you do one team at a time and verify the players imported correctly. Here's a sample for the Red Sox and Pawtucket (AAA).

yastrca01, 1967,bos
evansdw01, 1981,bos
willite01, 1946,bos
riceji01, 1978,paw
doerrbo01, 1944,bos
ortizda01, 2007,bos
hoopeha01, 1920,paw

Ok then how do I find who was on those teams? I would like to look through and get some negro teams into a league.

I have never been able to figure out how to do that (not very tech savvy)
I have manually imported several players but never text file
Also say I make a league with all players manually imported players is it possible to have some sort of manually imported players in a feeder league to keep the main league going with real players rather than it slowly turning into a fictional league?

Can you import them as a MLB team and then change them back to a minor league team after importing?
