How does the pitcher rating interact with stuff, movement etc?

Looking at the various ratings for pitchers, I understand what the basic pitcher ratings mean. However, I can't figure out how the pitcher position rating relates to the individual basic pitcher ratings such as stuff, movement and control. Can anyone enlighten me please?

It doesn't. Pitcher position rating = his defensive abilities (fielding).

pitchers are way more complicated than batters.

batters- just know contact is made up of 3 more fundamental ratings -- one of which is not visible to you, but can be deduced by knowith the other 2 points, of course. (babip, avoid k and power)

the other ratings are straight-forward and common sense will dictate what they control as far as likely results and be consistent when given a proper sample to display results.

pitching

stuff is a conglomerate of multiple things, like contact.

so, 2 equal stuff ratings, just like 2 equal contact ratings, can be drastically different relative to results.

mph, gb%, raw stuff rating from editor, anythin esle i am missing? (there's a note in editor about it, also manual has more complete info for you)

anyway, all those things go into the "stuff" rating you see on the player's profile or scouting reports etc. only when all components ar equal can you assume similar results (probability of results, that is, not necessarily the results in any given sample).

movement has multiple factors too -- the types of pitches as well as the raw movement ratings... (this is why when youlook up movement in editor it will not translate perfectly to what you see in profile with 100% accuracy of scouting.)

again, 2 equal movements do not mean the same results are as likely.

control i thnk matches up with 100% accurate scouting? can't recall. use a 100pt scale, 100% accuracy and some trial and error to flesh it out if you wish.

raw ratings / 2 +1 = 100pt scale conversion. any time raw ratings from editor don't match when 100% accurate scouting is on you know something else is factored into the rating you see on the profile/scout report.
