Adding New Patch Blow Out My Season?

I'm a newbie playing the current season of the Washington Nationals (7-7).

Will installing the new patch blow out my work? Not sure if I'm saving the season in a back up.

How would I check, and if not, how would I save it so my stuff doesn't get deleted by installing next week's new patch?

Thanks, guys!

Read Markus’s post when he released the last patch. It’ll look like that on this release and the new changes will be listed.

Patches should never blow away your saved games, but you have to start a new universe to take advantage any roster changes or updates.

I have applied many new patches to a league in progress and never had any problems. If you want to ensure you have a backup go to File / Backups / Backup Current Game. Usually only takes a few seconds. I also save my backup to an external drive (I have backups for my backups), being in IT I have been infused with the belief that redundancy is the key.
