AI teams seem to have released all draft picks
When trying to advance a day, I received a message that an AI teams rookie league team had an illegal number of players. I checked it out and the team had zero players. Looked at a few other teams and saw the same thing. It looks like AI teams released all their draft picks. I filled one team with fictional players before realizing it was a league wide thing. I hope someone can take a look at the uploaded file (Released players.zip) and see why this happened. It's a league I've had since 2015 or so. Hope it's not hosed. Thanks for your help!

Any chance of someone taking a look at this? I haven't played OOTP since this occurred and really hate the thought of starting over.
It doesn't look like ALL teams released draft picks but many have been released to the point where several minor league teams don't have enough players to continue. Thank you |

That is odd. Have you sent/filed a "service ticket"?

No I haven't. Just followed the instructions in this forum for reporting a bug and uploading files. I'll give that a shot and see if it helps. Thanks

You've got some very strict age limits at the low levels, and I'm guessing the AI is simply having trouble managing their rosters with those restrictions.
What I'd suggest: -If you want to keep the age limits in place, then enable ghost players. This way the game at least won't stop you when a team falls below the limits -I'd also probably suggest matching players by skill instead of filling top to bottom (it's the next option after enabling ghost players). This way, the AI teams should keep some real guys down in the rookie leagues, and they won't be as set on filling all the minor teams up to their full roster sizes. -I'd also probably change the AI to base minor league rosters on potential, not current, but that's more personal preference, and I don't believe as related to roster construction. These will at least let you move forward, and should help the AI better manage their low minors. As it stands now is that when a guy comes back from injury or a younger guy is ready, he'll move up a level, which probably means the AI will release an older player, but then there's very few younger players who are even eligible for the rookie leagues to fill in, so it ends up shifting everyone up. If you let teams run with ghost players, then they won't be as aggressive which should lead to less guys getting released overall. |
