Question What are your new sightings during gameplay?

New to OOTP this year; have only been playing a few weeks. Great game!!!

I play games myself, controlling offensive and pitching strategy, but not pitch by pitch.

Today, for the first time I saw a long fly go foul (down the third base line).

Previously, the only foul balls shown were ones that were flubbed by a fielder, resulting in an error.

Have yet to see an outfielder miss on a diving catch...not sure if even possible.

What have you recently seen for the first time during gameplay?

I saw two rundowns in 3D with OOTP19, one between 2nd. and 3rd. and runner was out, the other between 1st. and second and runner got back safe on first.

Never seen those plays before and I really thought it was amazing.

Cool, looking forward to it.

The long HR distance foul ball might be new.. I saw one via beta patch and I've never seen one prior to that... or maybe it's really rare.

I'm new to this version and came from a graphically accurate game expecting just simulation so the graphical representations of gameplay are a nice bonus. I don't have any past years to compare to. But even though the graphics are simplistic, for me this is a much nicer way of being "in the game" when I play one.

I did see one foul "almost HR." And a couple of dropped foul popups. No rundowns, but snap throws from the catcher are cool. This game also avoids the typical trap of most baseball games where DPs are nearly automatic on any ball hit with authority anywhere near an infielder.

I do hope they continue to improve the representations of plays in the future. I realize that, for example, all the dives represent balls that the game computed were to be caught, but it seems unrealistic. It would be nice to show dives miss once in a while. I'm sure they can improve the graphic representations of outfield balls in general, such as the deep ball to the CF that appears to bounce in front of him and then go past.

Also, the mega-slow throws when the game has decided there's an infield hit are quite frustrating to watch. I just had the game show me what appeared to be two simple comebackers to the mound in a row with the bases loaded and both were slow-mo throws to first, safe. Grr...

A player successfully stole home. Had to press replay several times to make sure that I had actually seen what I thought I had saw. Sure enough the player had stole home.

This little Zevon detour Made...My...Day. Thank you all!
(And on the topic at hand, I was thrilled when one of my young speedsters recently stole third and then also stole home. I had not yet seen a steal of home in the game before.)

I've seen these a lot. I had one that looked foul but was a homerun and the announcer said the wind kept it in.
