Question About Uninstalling / Reinstalling

For some reason I am having tons of issues with 19.
If i uninstall the game and reinstall it do I need a new activation code?
What will i lose during uninstall? Most of my files are in the program files x 86 folder vs My Documents like they are for 15-18.
Can I just cut & paste teh folders over to My Documents
Many of my saved games do not show up in the 19 saved games folder
The ones that do the folders are empty.
I downloaded the 19 dark skin and then deleted teh skin.bin (saved in another folder for now) deleted the skin.bin. it took me 3 reboots and game reloads to finally get the game to come back up. Now the skin.bin is not there.
I need suggestions on what to do . i submitted a ticket on these issues as well.

For some reason my saved games show up in users/me/OOTP 19

I put this here vs another section so more eyes see it

Game, take the time to unlicense the program before uninstalling. It's one of the tabs in the File, Settings window. You should be able to re-use the same activation code when you install it again.

if you uninstall, remove the license first, then uninstall. Then you can use the same code that was sent when you bought the game. You are given codes for 2 installs, but i always unlicense first, so i have that 2nd code for emergency mess-ups.
if you're on windows when you uninstall, somewhere in the process it will ask if you want to remove all folders, or keep them for a future install.
hope this helps. good luck.

When you reinstall the program, I would indeed go for the default location for your game folders, including saved games, in My Documents. That is where the developers intended but you must make sure of the location when installing the game. Look carefully at the location when it asks for you to confirm it.

I think your saved games (.lg folders) can just be copied over from the x86 folder to My Documents. Any skin mods that you did can be reproduced; just do the same things that you did before and delete skin.bin.

What people usually forget are modifications that they made and/or saved, like custom database files, templates, logos, uniforms, etc. Copy and paste.

One other thing; when you UNINSTALL, I think the game asks if you want to delete certain things like saved games, etc. You want to say NO to this, do the above, and only then manually delete what you don't want anymore.

Sorry that I can't be anymore explicit right now; I'm at work.

How do i make sure the folders go to My documents like previous versions and not everything in Program Files x 86?

No need to unlicense. Just uninstall, you'll be given an option to keep/delete user content.

Keep it.

Re-install to the same directory as previous. You'll already be licensed and your league will be there.

The above has always worked for me. YMMV.

i did a complete uninstall and reinstall and it still put all the folders that are normally in My Documents in Program Files x 86. Under default installation it says that it will put the saved game etc under My Documents. Why does this keep happening?

i do have the folders in the 19 dark skin so thats an improvement.
