I wonder how many times in the last 20 years an MLB game has ended with a guy trying to stretch a double into a triple. I haven't seen it happen in this version yet but I commonly saw games end in previous versions when the team was down by more than one run and the third out is made on a play at home. I expect that is equally rare over the past 20 years in the actual MLB.

You should post this in the Bug reports forum: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=286236

Heh, that is pretty funny.
That's the first time I've seen skating in OOTPB!But the problem with the "slows" when a runner is going to be called out on the basepath is already known. I would imagine that they will be working on that one in an upcoming patch. All in all, the animation is satisfactory to me despite these occasional glitches.

I think I posted that exact same play in the bugs forum about a week ago. Anything obvious like that I post there. I “think” it saves them a lot of time if you post your bugs there and it is easy to follow their format.

The "I better slow up" guy and "skater boi" each have made appearances in my games as well.

I'll kind of miss all the skating skills when they are eradicated from the game. (The slow motion running, not so much.)

3D animation aside, it's a pretty risky move trying to stretch a double with 2 outs in the 9th in the first place. What was the guy's speed? Either way, it's a tough way to lose a game.
The ones that get me are the called third strikes to end games. When I managed I saw this way too much and it drove me nuts. In real baseball there's pretty strong psychological pressure against being caught looking to end a game. |

This always happens to me when I get thrown out - pretty funny. Helps ease the pain, haha

One has nothing to do with the other, it was pretty clearly a separate observation. I have no idea why you would have thought I was trying to compare the two. I tried to find stats for how often a game ends on a called third strike but wasn't able to find any. But it bugs players a lot and is often a source of controversy when it happens on a marginal call. |

Okay. No, it simply brought to mind another questionable way I see games end and I'm curious how well it matches actual statistics (which I'm sure the devs have but I do not).
I did once compare the ratio of forward to backward Ks in the game and in real MLB over a season and they were pretty close (around 3:1) but my guess is the ratio is quite a bit higher for the last out of the game... |

Oops... Found the issue with this, so hopefully we'll have less people doing the electric slide after they get disgracefully thrown out at a base.

If I knew how to record the play by play, I would have uploaded my play. I had a line drive go off my pitcher and roll to short. The batter was thrown out. Stressed me out when I saw him get hit!!!!!! He's one my star starters, it's early August and I'm in first.place. He was fine, the announcer said it went off his foot and he shook it off. First time seeing this play for me.
