Question about Patches

I am looking to start a new game, however, it sounds like a patch is coming soon.

Do you need to start a new game for the changes in the patch to take effect?

I realize if the patch tweaks rosters, that you do need to start a new game for the roster changes to work, but I'm specifically asking if the changes take place in a game already in play.

Thanks guys!

Yes, generally speaking everything will apply to games in progress except for roster updates.

There may always be some slight things that would be better to wait for - for example, AI actions may change slightly, so sometimes you may get a little more roster turnover after applying a patch if the AI changes its mind with patch changes. But generally speaking, those aren't usually very large, and there weren't any massive algorithmic changes that should cause issues in this upcoming patch, specifically.

There's one fairly minor thing coming.

Thanks and hopefully it's something like Home Run Derby or Futures Game or Interview for a Position like a Bench Coach from the Reds to be the Yankees next Manager or Front Office/Coaches Hall of Fame or Multi Team Trades or so on?

I certainly hope that the time problem in the schedule editor gets fixed because it's too time consuming retyping times for a lot of games since I play in real time.
