Historical Stat Correction...
...single season record in MLB for most runs. OOTP 19 lists Billy Hamilton with 192 runs in 1894. Baseball reference has that number at 198. Is this just a typo or is there a dispute over how many he scored that year?

Baseball Reference has Hamilton scoring 198 runs in 132 games in 1894, however Fangraphs has him scoring 192 runs in 129 games. Seems to be some sort of discrepansy which isn't uncommon in stats as old as these.

Thanks for the reply. I went over and checked fangraphs after posting yesterday, but forgot to re-post afterwards...I hear ya that the stats are old and it is common for discrepancies, but I'm still curious as to what happened that year...

Looks like SABR went in on this, and came up with a completely different number, 196? A very long read that I haven't completed, but indeed, it seems that while no one questions Hamilton is the leader, it's hard to know exactly by how many.
