Random start from a reserve player.

I opened a single pack a few minutes prior to my last game. 1 of the cards in the pack was a 62 rated Bob Welch. After the game simulated I checked the box score to see Bob Welch had started the game. However, he was not on my roster and I had a full roster. When I checked my roster again I noticed Bob Welch was in my reserves with a 14 game tag on him. So I didn't add him to my active roster, he pitched and was also removed. All without my control. How does this happen?

Similarly this morning another of my teams was completely reset. All of my global strategies, pitching staff, lineup and even my auto-sell. It had a random bronze card added to the roster and my 2nd baseman Eddie Collins was removed and in my reserves. How does this happen?
