Exploit in the AH
1. I offered a player for auction while logged in on my desktop.
2. Someone bid on it. 3. I cannot now cancel the auction on my desktop. So far so good. THE EXPLOIT: 4. But maybe as the auction nears its end and no one else has bid and I decide that my opening offer was too low, I can log in on my laptop and cancel the auction. |

Have you actually been able to do this? No matter where you're logged in from, you can't cancel an auction that has a bid on it.
Now, I believe an older version of the game didn't grey out the button, but if you tried, you would have gotten an error message saying that you cannot cancel an auction that has a bid on it. |

@Matt Arnold
All I know is that on my desktop the 'cancel auction' button is greyed out, but on my laptop, it looks active. I don't want to press it, because I want the transaction to go through. Also, on my laptop I can see my own auction items in the AH, but on my desktop I cannot see them. In the AH, I cannot bid on them, but I can cancel them on the AH page. I have seen auctions disappear on me just as the clock ticked down to the last second and there was no way the 'buy it now' price would have been taken. And now I think I know why. |
