wRC+ is not currently being done correctly...

Just what the title says. I don't know which update did it, but it's borked right now.

RL pitchers often have negative OPS+ and wRC+ because of their abject ineptitude with the bat. What I've seen with all of the pitchers I've looked at in my historical random debut game so far since whatever update did it (and thus I suspect all of them across the league), is that it is possible to have a negative OPS+, but it is not possible to have a wRC+ of less than 0. That is wrong. Generally speaking, OPS+ and wRC+ are very, very close together when you look at RL players. For example, in my game Tomo Ohka has had a negative OPS+ in every one of my game's first seven seasons (-29, -4, -1, -24, -58, -16, and -3), and a zero wRC+ in every one of it's first seven seasons.

He therefore has a career OPS+ of -19, and a career wRC+ of 0. This is absolutely not possible. There's something in the wRC+ calculus that's gone bonkers somewhere in all of the updates for Perfect Team, and it needs to be fixed for those of us that like the advanced stats. This is definitely something that needs work, if not in OOTP19, then before OOTP20 comes out. It may just be a little thing that got borked, but it needs looking at. I would assume it affects all modes of the game (Standard, Custom, and Historical) because the problem must be somewhere in the wRC+ calculation. Thank you. Pretty pictures below.

UPDATE: Just updated to 19.14.135, and...Still the same.

For some reason we capped it to prevent it from going below 0. I'm not entirely sure why.

This doesn't make sense. That's not how it works in RL baseball, so why is it done like this in OOTP? It's completely inaccurate, and cannot fully capture the complete ineptitude of the Jon Lester types.

Yeah, I have no clue why that extra check is in there. Obviously an easy fix for OOTP20

Wish I'd found it earlier...But I understand why your focus has shifted to OOTP20...I'm still allowed to be sad though right?
