Challenge Mode - Manager Fired

I started a historical 1962 Mets and went into the 1963 season. I am playing as the manager and then I was fired. I took a job as the Giants manager.

What I really wanted to do was play each season as the Mets. What should I do to make this happen?

Start over and don't choose Challenge Mode. Instead, check the "can't be fired" box.
