I sold Vida Blue last night

I sold Vida Blue (93) last night for 84,999 PP.

His average weekly auction price was listed as 80,000 PP since he is part of the Charlie O Mission.

However his "Highest Ever" was listed well below this, at about 7000 PP or something.

Not accurate.

Yes, those highest evers have changed... I personally dropped 200K PP on a player that while it was listed for a while as the high price dropped off weeks ago.

Not sure why this happens To remove outliers? Not a fan. I pulled an unsung diamond dupe, listed it for what I thought would be a fair BIN and it sold almost instantly. Came to find that top price was wrong, too. Probably could have fetched more but no worries as it came from a free pack...

When I saw the average I figured that the high was off...Wasn't really sure if the average was on...and nobody bid on the card until later on, (2), I listed it at 70K, average was listed as 80K...2nd bidder 84,999 K. (76,499K after tax)...I'm perfectly happy with that & cards can be bought and sold for almost whatever we choose so that's cool....EXCEPT that it has to be at least X on each card & eveeerrrrything MLB-related = inflation city. But ... well ...

This is happening with lots of cards, with the last 7 higher than the all-time high. Hank Aaron, 91, Terry Pendelton (80) , Hack Wilson (80)

Don't trust those numbers at all. They get thrown off by fraudulent/reversed transactions or other outliers.

I throw interesting cards on my watchlist and keep my own record of what the market actually is.

As for this card, Blue played for the A's. He's the one said "It's a weird scene. You win a couple game and all of a sudden people are asking you about Vietnam & race relations."

I bought that Vida and the SE Vida I got from him has been pitching like an 85K+ pitcher so far...

Has a 98 Vida Blue been sold in the AH yet? I'm assuming he hasn't since most high-end players will use him.

I've seen him for around 200,000 and he was still there hours later. Not sure if he was ultimately sold at that price or not though.

My favorite pitcher of all time is Bob Gibson.....Vida is an extremely close second.

I sold one for 300K yesterday, and that matched the all-time high.

Several have been sold, most in the 200-300k range

I dig his name, his performance in OOTP sims was rather outstanding, & maybe some memories I can't pinpoint, maybe he beat the Mets in the 1973 World Series or something? And what little you can tell from a photograph.

So I acquired him early on, & he helped the Flyers go straight to Perfects plus he won our first game in Perfects. But after that he had a lot of rough outings. I might need some help this season so I had to take the PP at the higher than usual price...will keep an eye out for the SE in the auction house. Most 98+ pitchers with control are going to be good whatever league you're in.

Gibson along with G. Cole, D. Cone '88 & Halladay Phils card were on my original staff with Blue.
