Cannot change contract offer

Offered a player an 8 year deal worth more than he was asking, he rejected. No big deal, I go to offer him a new contract with less term but I cannot ask for a response, if I submit, it just submits the exact same contract as the first one. I am unable to change the original contract offer at all.

We may need to see the save for that, unless it's something easy to replicate like a specific player in a standard game start.

Shouldn't be too hard, I offered an 8 year contract like in the first pic... offered it and he rejected it the next day. So I went back and clicked the Meet Demands button to bring it back to what he wants and offered it because the respond button is not available. Next day he rejects again, but the offer never changed, it is still the offer from the first pic that was sent despite having changed it.

Attached a couple pics so you can see what was done. Very easy to reproduce even with a fresh save, did it three times.
