NHL 2024 Draft onwards no Quality of Prospects

Hi All,

I am loving the new FHM 6 however I am now going through the 2025-2026 season and I have noticed over the last 3 seasons the quality of the prospects has decreased dramatically. I thought it might of been a blip the first season but I am now going into a third straight draft with only about 3 players over 3.5 rating in the last 3 drafts. I am running the 6.2.49 version of the game

That's very odd, I'm looking at the 2025 draft in a test save now and see dozens of 3+ potential players. Could you upload your save (instructions here) and I'll try to see what's going on there?

Looking at the save, that's definitely a weak draft year, but I don't think that's part of a permanent trend. In test saves, I'm getting some very strong drafts in the late 2020's (to the point of 4.5-potential guys going late in the first round) so if you continue you should start seeing that kind of draft in addition to the weaker one you're looking at now.

I also just made some adjustments to the way major junior stats are evaluated; I think we had a slight issue there with the stat-based ratings getting depressed a little too far. That should slightly upgrade the ratings many of the draft-age players get, which will be particularly noticeable in the middle rounds.
