Play HR Derby

I thought you were supposed to be able to play the HR Derby? Am I missing something? It won't let me click to play it.

Yes u can play it, the option should appear on the top on the day the HR Derby takes place ..

Working fine on my end. Once the field of players is chosen, each one has a little "play" button for each round that takes you to the arcade style HR derby.

I thought on the preview video a couple of weeks ago they talked about timing with the spacebar etc...

Regardless, even the option to watch it was not there, nor was it for the All Star game.

That was my impression from the first look as well.

It's only available for the top window. And right now it is only an "arcade" mode. You can either play the rounds or sim them - there's no way to watch only right now.

You do have to make sure it's enabled in the settings.

Ah, would it not make more sense to have it enabled by default?

It is enabled by default if you have an all-star game, but it's possible that in imported games or if you import a schedule or for another reason it could get turned ofd

This was a brand new game with 2020 rosters.

My daughter is 6 and likes the graphics on the game but she is obviously way to young to understand the nuts and bolts of the game.

Is there a way we can play an on demand HR derby exhibition? It's simple enough to play with the space bar where I think she could easily play and hopefully encourage her to love the game as she gets older.

I think you could cheat and just manually schedule the HR derby league event on any day and go in and play it. So basically schedule the event for tomorrow, finish the day, and I think you'll get a blank Derby to play with. There's a chance that won't work, but it might be worth it to try.
