Need Help with Extreme Custom League

Hi Everyone -
I'm looking for a little direction in setting up a unique baseball league. Everyone knows that MLB is on hold right now, but what is not getting attention is that Youth baseball is also on hold. To pass the time and keep my team connected, I wanted to set up a league so my players can see their names in a simulation and see how they did and how the team did.
Does OOTP allow for mass editing of teams or spreadsheet uploads?
Can the basic structure of a game be changed? Specifically 7 inning games versus 9 innings?

I've been playing for a while but have not jumped into the editing areas of the game and when I did, after about 3 players being edited I realized I needed a better way. Not to mention I couldn't find a way to change the innings.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

You can create players and edit existing players as you wish including change names and giving nicknames.
You cannot change the structure of baseball rules such as 7 innings vs. 9 innings though.
