Free Agent Claims

I’ve released all the players into a free agent pool. How does a team claim one of the free agents?

They only claim players when placed on waivers. When you release the to free agency they are free to sign with anyone.

It takes time to navigate these menus. I've been playing for a couple weeks and still find it frustrating to do things. The sim is AWESOME.

I am playing as the Mets in the 2020 season. To find FA I go to MLB>Transactions> FA. Then on the right if screen it will say something like ACTIONS. There you can offer a FA a contract.

OK, I’ve set up my league. Released all the players to the FA pool. No financials in my League.

How do I assign a FA to a team???

I go into MLB; then Transactions; then FA

When I click on a player and go to ‘Actions’, I can choose from ‘Shorlist’; ‘Compare Player’; ‘Create a Note’; ‘Clone’; or ‘Delete

You've asked two different questions

I don't know what you need

You can
1) click on a player. Click on the editor tab. On the left side, scroll down a bit and you can choose the league and team that the player will be on

2) Right click on any player. Offer then a contract.

That helps--thank you--Now my problem is that the League that I created is not listed. MLB-International League--Dominican Rookie League-Pacific Coast League are all listed but not the League that I created.

The free agents on that screen are not the same list of free agents that I'm conducting my free agent draft from.

using the free agent draft, but it would be nice to know why the FA lists are different; why you can't place a a FA on a team.

I realize it CAN be a very complex and realistic game but all we're trying to do is move a Strat-O-Matic league to OOTP because it seems to be a fantastic game, but we need some help with basic videos on how to set up leagues etc.

Sorry to be a burden, I'm just trying to get our League set up

When you released all players, exactly which option did you use in league setup?

This is what I used.

Put yourself in Commish Mode if you're not already.

Click on a player you wish to assign to a team. Click on the "Editor" Tab when the player page opens.

Left side, about halfway down you will see "Team Information". Click on that drop down, then follow the selections to put the player on the team you wish him to be on. You can edit his contract and anything else on this page.
