Issue ONLY when continuing game

I just recently bought the game, and started a new career. I played through the Hlinka Gretzky Cup and made a couple roster moves in the SPHL. I had all of the leagues turned on. I attempted to play today, but the game keeps giving me a runtime error. I'm able to start a new game perfectly fine(I only tried with the AHL though, simmed up to the regular season), but same thing happens when I save that, quit the game, and restart it.

I know it's old and possibly outdated, but I used the checklist on this page:
https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=286951

I'm still having the same issue.

Could you upload one of your saves (uploading instructions here) for us to have a look at? That may give us a better idea of what's going wrong in them. And what exactly is the runtime error saying?

I have named the file "Tyler Bayer.lg.rar". And the runtime error was saying something along the lines of "the script was running in an odd way that forced it to shut down". Not exact, but something along those lines. Sorry, I did not get a picture of the error.

Update, I did attempt to re-open that save, the runtime error is as follows:

Runtime Error!

Program: ...eam\steamapps\common\Franchise Hockey Manager 6\fhm6.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information

During my lunch break I started a game as the Coyotes and played a pre-season game, saved and closed the program, and was able to load that just fine. I didn't make any roster moves though, in case that matters.

Looks like the runtime error is a result of file corruption in the save, I can see a number of files that are empty (and, in one of your rolling saves, some critical ones are missing entirely, which is very unusual.) Since it's happening consistenly, my first suspicion would be that something went wrong with the download and/or installation.

To check that, reinstall the game, either from the most recent update (https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...71&postcount=1 if you're playing the standalone version) or, if you're on Steam, go to FHM6 in your library, right-click and select properties, then local files, then "verify integrity of game files." If anything was broken or missing during the install, that should fix it.

If that doesn't do it, from the game's start screen, click on settings, then go to troubleshooting, and click the "Enable debug trace" box. Restart the game after that, go back to Settings-Troubleshooting, and click on "Open Trace File" and it'll open a file named fhm_trace.txt. Either attach that file to a post here, or just post the contents of it. That may give us some more clues as to what's going wrong.

Good afternoon,

I have attached the FHM_trace file.

I will say, I started a new game last evening, did the U17 tournament and a couple pre-season games in the SPHL, closed it out last night and re-opened it, and was able to re-load the game. I just tried again, and the loading bar went to 62% on the "Finished Loading" bar then crashed with the runtime error.
Attached Files
File Type: txt fhm_trace_troubleshooting.txt (10.4 KB, 29 views)
