Template questions

I’m not new to the game but I have never tried this before so was looking for some advice before I try it. If I save a template of my current league and then export the rosters and save them. If I start a new league and import the league structure template and the rosters after a patch update, will this return the new league to the same league setup and have the rosters already edited to go for the new patch updates or will it not include the new patch updates since it was already a previous setup? Also, if the next patch includes the draft players or July 2nd signings will they be on the new league if I import the previous rosters or no?

Pretty sure it wouldn't matter if a patch is applied, unless it was a patch that fixed an in-game glitch to your data, but then you'd be pretty well out of luck anyway.
I know you can just resume a game after a patch is applied, assuming you saved prior to patching, so a template should function the same as a save, with data saved upto that point.

The only thing a patch may affect as you are describing, is if you are playing live update, and a trade or something occurs in between your saving the template and current rosters, but I think you'd have this same issue from a normal save that way as well.
