No players to draft in Random Debut

Hey,

I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong but I have tried to start a historical games with Random Debut and after the first year there comes an amateur draft but there is no players available to be picked. I have to end the draft by selecting “CPU Finnish draft”. I’ve tried multiple times with different teams, years and setting but always the same result.

Please let me know what to do to fix this.

What year are you trying to start in?

Mostly been trying in 1970s mainly 1974 to start as caps but I have also tried 1917 and 1940s

Looks like a 1974 random debut start has a specific problem because of the NHL draft increasing the age limit to 20 in 1975 - those 20-year-olds are being included in the starting draft (since they're eligible to play as 18/19-year-olds in 74-75) and that results in them all being drafted or made free agents (and thus ineligible for entry drafts), so the draft pool is empty for the 75 draft (and 76 as well, then it works normally afterwards.) So technically, it's working properly, but I'll see if we can make any undrafted players from the initial draft available for the following entry draft if they're the right age.

I'm not seeing any problem with the 1917 or any 1940's drafts in random debut, though - they work normally when I test it.
