NHL 2010s Replay

I started a historical game in 2010 and am interested to see how the decade plays out under different circumstances for each team. What if Crosby never took that hit in the Winter Classic? What if Suter and Parise didn't team up in the summer of 2012? What if Pavel Datsyuk never left the Wings?

Really excited to see how it goes and will be documenting the progress here.

The original 2010-11 season ended with the Bruins lifting the Stanley Cup in Vancouver. The top five teams by points in the regular season were the Canucks, Rangers, Blues, Penguins, and Predators.

Already, one of the premises of the simulation has come into play. What if Crosby was healthy in the 2011 postseason? Well, the sim says the Penguins would have squeezed by the actual champions in Round 1 and then downed Claude Giroux and the Flyers in Round 2 before finishing the remainder of the playoffs 8-0. Kris Letang won the Conn Smythe.
