Sending players to rehab assignment in playoffs

So... I had two players who needed IL activation during the playoffs (we didn't make the playoffs).

I sent them both for rehab assignments (which I don't think should be an option in the first place).

They both lasted one day then get labelled as "returns from his rehab assignment" ... but they aren't on the 40 man roster anymore.

We are now on the first day of the offseason.

I think Yennsy Diaz is just not on the 40 man yet and eventually needs to be added prior the following season starting (which isn't an issue).
Biggio was on 60 day IL i believe, so possibly he will face a similar scenario.
However, if i do this for someone who should be arbitration eligible they may miss that window prior to the next season beginning.
