Cannot connect to database

Hello. Sounds like a self-inflicted wound here. My cable company switched my modem yesterday and I've experienced network problems since. My install was corrupted. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times from Steam and the original FastSpring installer. Finally got the GamePass version to load the latest patch.

I can join tournaments without an issue. I cannot load my main franchise, Perfect Teams, or any tournament teams.



I'm guessing the game just needs to point to the right folders. I would appreciate help getting everything fixed. The trace file is attached and listed below. Thank you in advance.

There doesn't seem to by anything wrong with the folders in the debug info you posted above.

Can you try shutting the game down, restarting your system, then going into your OOTP saved_games folder and deleting everything that ends in .pt

Then try to log in again and let the game re-download a fresh league file. Does that change anything?

No go. I can still enter tournaments but not access my league file or Perfect Teams. I cannot access my tournament teams for roster changes either.

Here is the latest error message: Could not download PT League file! Please try to restart OOTP. If the error persists, please try again in a few minutes, there is likely a temporary server outage.

I have no qualms wiping my install if necessary. I can install using a fresh product key.

I have the version I bought from you directly upon release. I also access to the XBox GamePass version from the Microsoft store. I can reload whichever version you think is best.

OOTP 20 works perfectly fine. This issue is isolated to OOTP 21.

I can make myself available on German time if necessary. The best time window for me is between 8 PM and 12 AM EST.

If I can't help you figure out things here, we can probably arrange to have one of our support guys get in touch at a time that works for you. They're based in the US, so there wouldn't be any need to find a time that would work here in Europe.

Are you getting the same message whether you try the download version or the GamePass version?

One thing you might want to check on is to make sure OOTP21 is whitelisted in your anti-virus/firewall programs. Because if things work for OOTP20 but not for 21, even though both essentially have the same connection process, that makes me think the issue is that the connection to the server is getting blocked for OOTP21 somehow but not for OOTP20.

Success!

I reset Avast Antivirus to the factory default. I whitelisted OOTP 21 but it crashed upon downloading the database information.

Went into Windows Defender and allowed edge traversal for the app. I'm able to log into my teams again!

Now to check the PT standings and open my 9 tourney packs. Thank you for your patience and diligence!
