Game is Reversing Home-Field Advantage in Playoffs

Have noticed a couple times now that the game does not follow the proper logic for assigning home-field advantage during the playoffs, or at least during Association Playoffs.

In the example below, there's 24 teams in the tournament and the #1 seed "Olympique Lyonnais" naturally has a bye for the first round, but is playing 3 road games for Round 2 in a Best of 3. I can't load the Playoff Setup options window since the playoffs are currently active but this seems like something that may need to be addressed. I can tell you that I use "Select qualifying teams individually by position", the playoff mode is "Regular", the First round matchups determined by is "Seeding (by Winning%)", and Later Rounds Matchups are "Fixed". Am I doing something wrong in my setup? This is also happening in another playoff where I use "Position" instead of "Seeding (by Winning%)" so I don't believe that is the root cause. Would it have something to do with "Select qualifying teams individually by position" being selected?

I should add that I am aware that a simple workaround exists to just flip teams in the schedule editor. I am mainly wondering if that's a known glitch that I should manually deal with or if I am doing something wrong in the playoff setup.

This often happened to me over the years... the first round schedule usually is correct as far as homefield advantage... but after that it is not always correct.

I do it manually like you do and fix the error.

It is quite possible I don't understand the playoff terminology and have it set up wrong.

Agree the terminology is confusing in the custom playoff section. It originally was wrong and after a couple seasons I went back in and changed it around. It seems to be working correctly now, or maybe I have been lucky.

I've had the problem the original poster noted (lower seeded team has home field advantage), can you let me know how you fixed it?
