FHM7 Hotfix 7.3.113 Now Available

A new hotfix update for Franchise Hockey Manager 7, version 7.3.113, has just been released to fix several critical issues in the 7.3.111 update and an ongoing problem with screen shaking when watching games.

To apply the update:

-If you are playing the FastSpring version, just download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course.
-If you are playing the Steam version, the game will auto-update if you have that option active. If you don't see the update in your Steam update queue, you may need to exit and restart your Steam client.

Your existing savegames will be compatible with the updated game; the update should retroactively fix the issues causing the crashes.

Changes:
-fixed display problem in 2D match engine that was causing screen to shake at lower game resolutions
-fixed crash in February related to Austrian league playoffs
-fixed crash related to reverting German league to its normal structure in 21-22; the effects of this problem could be delayed, leading to crashes at various times in 21-22 or later seasons
-fixed issue that was creating scheduled games in non-playable leagues, leading to instability
-related issue to the above one with non-playable teams getting team stats (this is the one exception to the retroactive fixes - if you have a save in 20-21 with a league that has relegation set to playable but have the level below it, when that level can be set to playable, set to nonplayable, a promoted team from the second level will add its point totals from 20-21 to 21-22, so it's highly likely they'll win the top-level league's regular season easily)
-fixed potential waiver draft crash

Do you mean when will the last update be? We normally do one last big one after the NHL trading deadline, which is in April this year. There'll be one other large update between now and then.

Oh, likely 4-5 weeks. It'll take a while to add and test some of the things we want to do in the next one.

Something that isn't a bug, per se; but certainly is a bit odd is that in Historical Mode, everyone in the league is on 3-year contracts at the start of the game. I've started a game beginning in 1982 and another beginning in 1988 and have had the same situation.

Will the next patch address the issues with the expansion draft? (AI teams protecting more forwards and defenders than allotted, Vegas being included).

Is it possible to setup an option for a player to start as the Seattle GM from the start? Based on the parameters of how expansion teams get added it doesn't seem like it, but it'd be nice to see if doable.

As well, is it possible for the sim to stop when rolling over to July 1st to ask if you would like to take over Seattle? One thing that I find problematic is that I can hire my own staff when taking over the franchise. It always has staff assigned. Older versions of the game allowed you to start from scratch hiring a coaching staff and scouts. The only other option is to turn off auto-expansion, create the team on my own (which is cumbersome), change all colours, figures, etc..and then start from scratch hiring staff.

I thnk there is a problem with Casey Mittelstadt (Buffalo Sabres). So his contract with Buffalo Sabres, but current team is Boston Bruins, bug i think.

Yeah, database error, it'll be fixed in the next update.
