Help with import historical player to a historical draft.

After several versions of the games, I still can't figure it out: how to import a historical player to a historical draft. I imported the player ,Bobby Hull-as a test case. I made the league rights to none. He does not show up in the draft. I tried it on July 1, and the day of the draft. No go. The game is a historical game with a 82 start date. The player does not show up in Free agency either. I do a search and the player shows up.

Has anybody had any luck inputting players in a historical draft?

The only thing I can think of is to input the player in on June 30, to see if that makes a difference before the league turns to the next year. I will have to wait till the next year to do that.

Yes, he'll be a year too young (assuming you import him from his first season for an 18-year-old draft) if he's imported that late. If you take a game where you already imported him like that, he'll be in the following draft.
