Major free agency glitch

My bros and I play in an online sim league (the iNHL, the longest running and best FHM sim league in the World!) and have noticed that once any GM begins negotiations with a free agent, that free agent will not lower his demand regardless of how much time passes. This results in a number of players - many in their prime - remaining on the free agent market indefinitely rather than lowering their demand and/or signing in some other league.

As this is not realistic, we respectfully ask that you fix this glitch.

Peace and love, peace and love,
Beans

Yes! It's a bizarre thing, and makes no sense.

Just to clarify: you're seeing the demand remaining the same as long as negotiations are open between the player and the team, or they're still not being reduced after the team ends negotiations?

I've seen this as well and yes, if a team has opened negotiations (they don't have to make a contract offer, just open the "offer contract" page with that player), the player will not decrease their asking price until the next offseason. I'm not sure if ending the negotiations fixes it, but even if it did this causes an issue for online leagues as a team could lock the price of a bunch of overpriced free agents and they will never get signed. Sometimes this leads to those players signing for significantly less in the KHL. I've seen much less of it in offline games because usually an AI team will just pay the overpriced players.

I'd love to see this addressed too. Right now we are punished for opening negotiations to see what a players' demands are, but we can't back out and see if they will lower them later - you have to end negotiations which then prevents you from talking to that player again.

Can we at least see the demands on the FA player list screen along with their interest level or remove the fact that 'end negotiations' prevents any future contact with the player?
