Any way to historically change team abbreivation?
In my Rays save, I had Miami move to Columbus, and the game automatically abbreviated them to COL, which is already the abbreviation for Colorado. I never did anything about it for 3-4 seasons, and it finally dawned on me I could change it so I made the abbreviation CLB. And now it's changed all the stat lines and history to CLB for my current year but past seasons still show COL.
I'm guessing I'm stuck with this, but perhaps someone knows a way to have the new abbreviation take effect retroactively. |

I recall, vaguely, reading here that changing the historical abbreviation (as opposed to the everyday one that shows up on the scoreboard and so on) can cause problems with the database, but I don't remember the details. Since then I've avoided changing the internal abbreviation.
