The Back Story:
Buffalo has struggle on and off the ice for the past 10 Years.
Rebuild after Rebuild happening and nothing working.
Coaches/GMs changed, nothing continuing to work.. The fans have lost interest.
Star players fed up. It seems like a dooms day device at this point awaiting to explode.

New General Manager | 2020-2021 Season:
Travis Henderson - A 20 Year Old, coming from Toronto, Ontario has been given the opportunity of a life time.
Owner Terry Pegula has had his ups and downs with hiring and firings, so at this point, experiments are needed
and Henderson came with a high set of references backing him up.

Wasting No Time - Farewell:
Henderson made it clear that any feelings going forward about the organization leaking out to the public with bad intentions,
wouldn't be accepted. Henderson right away made two block buster moves that will change the whole face of the Buffalo Sabres.
This all in his first day as General Manager!

Jack Eichel Shipped:
After a series of angry out bursts over the last few years, Travis Henderson finally did what he feels, should've been done long ago.
Eichel who has played for the team since 2015/2016 campaign finally gets shipped off to the Montreal Canadiens. In return,
Henderson was able to get a 2nd Round Pick in the 2021 draft and 20 Year Old, Center, Nick Suzuki!

Not Done There:
Another player of recent that openly is fed up is forward Jeff Skinner. Only spending the last 2 seasons with the team, he's made it very
openly known he would take a trade to get out of the system here. Henderson wasted no time making it a reality. They traded 1 for 1
as we seen Jeff Skinner, 28 headed to the Nashville Predators. In return; the Buffalo Sabres received Mikael Granlund, 28.

GM Henderson - TradeBlock:
As stated, Henderson's looking to shake up the entire roster. The plan being: Rebuild. He's made it clear everyone's up for grabs.
The only safe player at this point is "Nick Suzuki", who was acquired days ago in the Jack Eichel trade with Montreal.

Darryl Sutter Leads The Way
After his huge success with the Los Angeles King, Sutter took a break after being replaced.
Henderson got ahold of Sutter and the two had some talks for a few days and finally they've come to an agreement.
Sutter will be looking to break the curse and molding this struggling Buffalo squad for the next 3 years, in hopes to get them back into the playoff hunt.

September 2020 - Buffalo Continues Face Lift
GM Henderson continued the movement process making 2 moves this month. First we seen the departure of;
26 year old, Jean-Sebastien Dea
27 year old, Tobias Rieder
20 year old, Matej Pekar and a 6th Rd pick in 2021

To the Toronto Maple Leafs, In return for:
24 year old, Adam Brooks
28 year old, Kenny Agostino
26 year old, Mikko Lehtonen and a 4th Rd pick in 2021

Next we moved on to sending:
25 year old, Rasmus Ristolainen

to the Carolina Hurricanes, in return for
21 year old, Martin Necas

The moves made help the Buffalo Sabres get a bit younger and some players that are hungry to break into the NHL.
Henderson feels from the few moves he has made, the locker rooms already feeling a sense of fresh air.
Though, he did mention "We're not yet done with the process.
A lot more pieces need moved, but we've moved into the right direction so far".

October 2020 - Henderson Vision Continues:
Henderson continues to shape this into a team, that not only is being rebuilt,
but also a vision that has the players in the system, wanting to be here.
As stated he is looking to ship players that have been locked
into this team since struggle has become a thing. Replacing
them with players that are hungry, unable to crack the rosters of
their current teams and simply looking for a fresh start.

Los Angeles offered a trade, in which Buffalo returned a counter deal.
Originally the trade would see Olli Maatta coming to Buffalo for Mattias Samulsson and a 4th rd pick.
Buffalo took the opportunity to get a surplus of a RW sent off to by sending Kyle Okposo into the deal.

Voted a Goalie players like to play for to Buffalo
GM Henderson continued his movement of the Buffalo Roster, to restructure it into a team that wants to play/succeed/
and break through the sinking that the Buffalo has been in for many years now.

Henderson pulled the trigger and made a trade to excite his team with the following acquisitions:
Buffalo receives G, 28 - Jack Campbell and a 2nd rd pick in 2021

departing to Toronto:
C, 22 - Arttu Ruotsalainen
4th rd pick in 2021 and rights to LW, 22 - Lunus Weissbach

Jack Campbell has been known as a very hard working player, well respected by his teammates and generally
just a positive person that brings the best out of his teammates. Henderson hopes exactly that when this season come to fold.

Buffalo Preseason: Looking Promising
Henderson and Coach Sutter can be happy with the state of the team as they sailed through preseason with a 6-1-0 record.
Both Jack Campbell and Calvin Pickard each had 3 wins apiece (Campbell with the solo loss to New Jersey).

20 year old defensemen Rasmus Dahlin lead the team in points and assists (4G, 7A, 11PTS) with newly acquired forward
Anthony Mantha looking to be fitting in quickly leading in goals (5G, 4A, 9PTS)

28 year old, Mikael Granlund looked to struggle only having 1 assist in 7 games and being a minus 2.

Buffalo Opens Up Season @ Home vs Washington
Henderson has put together a new looking squad and hopes they'll prove
his moves are headed in the right direction for this struggle organization over the last 10+ years.
They'll have their hands full as they'll be meeting up with Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals.

Above is the projected starting lineups heading into the game, as Sutter has taken the time to evaluate and
design these lineups based on performances in practice and the preseason success.

Jack Campbell as expected, will be the starting Goalie for the team.
