scouting budget

when it comes to adjusting your scouting budget, what does that do by increasing it ow lowering it? im assuming the only benefit is the more you increase it the more accurate it is? or are there other added benefits that I may not be aware of?

Its probably one of those things that nobody knows for sure. Which is as it should be. A game like this needs some "fog of war".

Agree with Brad on the fog of war. Having said that I ask myself how more money helps my scouting department.

Bigger team of scouts or a team that works more hours.

Could lead to more accuracy but of course it is still dependent on a scouts abilities and preferences. So only maybe?

Work more hours, discover more players from other countries? I think this would be true if one prioritizes dollars this way.

I generally look at a team the has the same market size to see what they are doing. If in my division, I add an extra million dollars.

I look at the max amount and take 15%, maybe 20% off that and go with it. Development doesn't give a max amount so I put it in a bit less than scouting, although with historical players and recalc on three year non weighted and development on I'm not so sure development does anything.

But I feel obligated to spend some money on it because AI teams do. Just like allocating some scouting money to international even though there is none in my games. AI teams do it so I do to.
