Major Injury Still Playing / Injury Counter
Few things I noticed.
I had a player take a major injury during a Quick Sim. Shortly afterwards he took a penalty. I did see the player only played 2min39 seconds so he definitely didn't keep playing the rest of the game. I though there was a little bit of time that elapsed between the injury popup and the penalty pop up. 1. On the injury tab, under Counter I have a player who says 0 days - yet his injury is still 1-2 months. I'm not sure if there is a number before the 0 (ie: 30) that is cut off or I'm just not understanding what exactly the counter means. 2. Another question re: injuries. Can a player get hurt twice in a game? After a game, I got a message that the player was DTD with a cut ear. The next message (same day) it said he will be out for 10 days with a sore Achilles tendon. He did log over 23 minutes in the game (my top D-man) Side note. Minor thing - at the end of the quick sim (before the box score page) at the bottom it lists injuries. Maybe it's my windows setting but if the list is long, text is cut off on the far right hand side. Thanks again Last edited by belial1134; 04-03-2021 at 02:30 AM. |

The counter is the remaining time he has to spend on the injured list - it's a minimum of 7 days from the date of the injury, so it only makes sense to use the list for major injuries or players you're willing to lose for a week.
It is possible to get multiple injuries - if that happens, if the second injury has a longer duration, it'll replace the first one. That's likely what happened there. I'll check the overlap, it may be missing a line break if the list gets longer than the box width. |

Ok, what a case where a player has a major injury (torn abdominal muscle) in the third period but then scores in the shootout?
Maybe major injuries aren't kicking in until after the game is over? Probably unrelated but another player on the opposing team incurred an identical injury (probably coincidence) Edit: I later had another case where a player took a major injury in the 3rd period but scored the winning goal in Overtime. There's a chance for some injuries that the player can finish the game (with a significant reduction in performance), even if the injury causes him to miss future games.

Understood, but perhaps if a player gets a "major" injury, they shouldn't be allowed to come back? I've had a player come back into the game after a concussion as well as a broken kneecap. Those are a pretty unlikely cases as oppose to a lacerated ear or bruised ankle ![]() Just a thought. Thanks |
