Player retirement in player profile

Hi, might be a stupid question, but sometimes a player announces retirement in news, which will occur at the end of the season.. Is there a way to see this in his player profile?

Let's say I want to make a trade with a certain player and didn't notice the news at the begining of the year cause he wasn't one of my players.

How do I know that I will lose that player at the end of the year before trading for him?

I've looked everywhere in player profile, also on the search tabs but most retirement questions are related to how to retire/unretire but this is not what I am looking for.

When you are on the player page, click on the "History" tab, then the "News Involving Player" Tab.

There will be a list of all news articles involving this player. You can click and open any of them.

Ok thanks. I thought there would be a a note somewhere it would show (like under his name) I used to see this in a different sim game I played which was clearly showing

''retiring at the end of the season''
