Lost Rights to Prospect

I'm not sure if this is just user error so please let me know if it is just that but I drafted a goalie in a custom game and sent him back to juniors for another year. When he aged out, I was curious to see if he would sign with another team in another one of my senior leagues and he did. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to sign him after he signed that deal and I lost the rights to him. Is there any way I could make the rights extended or make it so I can still sign him even if he's signed in another senior league?

Another addition to this is that another one of my prospects signed in a minor league not affiliated with the league my team is in. I also cannot sign him as long as he is contracted in that minor league.

In both cases, that's normal, each league in a custom game will respect the contracts of the other leagues. And the rights will still expire at the regular time. We may add some more customization options there in the future.

I have another question about rights.

I lost the rights to Ryan Donato even tough i gave him an offer. An offer that he refused, but it was high enough to be qualifying.

Is there something i am missing. How do you keep the rights to a player without signing hom to the contract he wants.

Do you remember the exact amount of the offer you made to him? As long as it was a qualifying offer, you should have kept his rights.

No i don´t remeber exactly what the number were.

But i think the qualifyer was 2,2 millions. And i think my offer were 2,4-2,5.

I do remember that i was never able to push the "submit offer" button. Because my number were lower than his demand.

But my tought was that i would retain his rights anyway

Sounds like it should have qualified him, I'll see if I can replicate it.
