OOTP 22 on Linux without Proton

Just wondering if anyone is able to run ootp22 through Steam without having to use Proton? I've messed around with it a little bit but always seem to get 'glibc' errors or other version errors. I'm running Arch linux.

A Linux version exists in Steam and it's running fine on my system (with a few 3d glitches), unless that version uses Proton? This is the first time I've purchased OOTP in Steam, so I'm not fully up to date about how Proton works. I used to always buy the stand alone version, but of course it no longer exists.

Damn shame, too. By making it less available, COM2US is just hurting themselves
