Mercy Behaviour In Engine
I'm playing a modified database of players in 1871 and am running into some strange mercy behaviors in the engine. I consistently score 20+ runs in the first inning before my bats go cold and score only a few runs for the rest of the game. I routinely have 15+ hits in inning 1, then struggle to get a similar number of hits over the course of the rest of the game.
I think this is some sort of coded behavior to prevent absurd results in the game. That being said it's creating issues for me as my team average is lower than a team of far more average players, and my players only have one person in the top batting average stats. The top AI players is batting .612 while it seems the nerfing is preventing my player with MUCH better batting stats from getting anywhere close to that. Their first inning batting percentage is far higher than .612.
If a future OOTP has a button to disable this behavior and allow me to run up the score as my players should I'd buy it just for that. I'd like to be able to have my players get the averages they are intended to without the game needing to 'fix' things for me.
