QMJHL Player issue.
I have a few players on my team which Sherbrooke Phoenix (my team) own the rights that are playing for other teams in the same league. I cannot recall or obtain these players without a trade. This should not be the case. The only way said team could obtain this player is through trade or if I released the player rights. Neither of these occurred. I will use Benjamin Tardif as my example please see images. As you can see Sherbrooke Phoenix is the only team with the rights to this player. He currently playing for Victoriaville Tigers (another team in the same league). In the second image you will see this player still accounts for a spot in the roster (left wing). There are some issues here.

It looks like there's a database issue with a few players who have moved between QMJHL teams this season - they're on the correct teams, but their rights haven't been reassigned from to the new team; the procedure that would normally change them when the data changes appears to have failed. Tardif, for example, was traded to Victoriaville for Edouard Ouellet (who's also on your roster.) With junior players, it shouldn't have any significant effect, since they're automatically signed through the duration of their junior careers. If you want to let go of their rights to free up slots on your protected list, just right-click on them and choose Lapse Player Rights.
