Resetting Service Time for FA from Another League even if box unchecked

I have the game on Steam, running the newest patch. I think I have a bug in my fictional 4-league promotion/relegation save, 3 seasons in:

I currently have auto renew of contracts to 3 years of service time and arbitration up to 5 years of service time in every league. But if a player signs in FA with a team from another league, his service time in the other league(s) isn't taken into account for his next contract. Example: a 39 year-old closer who played Division 1 signs a big one-year contract (let's say 10M) with a Division 2 team. That amount will auto-renew for the next two seasons and he will have two arbitration years, so the closer is team-controlled until he is 43 years old.

The "Reset Service Time for FA signed from other leagues" is unchecked, so I feel like it's a bug. Every league is classed as Major League.

My guess would be that maybe the flag for resetting the service time got stuck somehow.

Can you try checking and unchecking that again and see if that fixes things? It wouldn't retroactively fix it for any players already in the league, so you have to check when a new player comes into the league.
