Steam Achievements

I've only just realised that these arent unlocking for me.

I've played over 100 hours of the game and have 0/133 achievements unlocked despite winning the Stanley Cup a few times and hitting multiple player achievements too Hattricks etc etc.

As far as I know I've always been playing in online mode, I dont use any mods or any of the other things that the generic troubleshoots say could be causing this.

Is there anything I can do to find out what's behind it?

You may be in online mode, but are you in Challenge Mode?
