Hall of Fame
Is there a way to just gate keep the Hall of Fame?
The amount of random bad players who get in is wild. Goalies and Defensemen especially. Random goalies with less than .500 winning percentages and no awards get in all the time and just tons of players who have never won championships or awards. |

Yes, it seems to only base it's selection criteria on the levels of career stats you set , with little or no consideration to championships or awards won. So if a player has a short but successful career they are unlikely to be nominated, but someone who plays a long time, but achieves little, gets in.
Also , don't know if it has changed in FHM8, but if you have a historical game with leagues like the WHL and WHA continuing as rival leagues to the NHL, the achievements in those leagues get ignored entirely for HOF eligibility. |

There's no way to manually edit the selections, but you can adjust the criteria from the File-Setup/Options screen.

Not true, they're counted, but at a reduced rate relative to the NHL stats.

I have a question about the criteria. For a player to be inducted does he need to meet all of the criteria or only one of the conditions? Also what does the min fulfilled criteria mean?

Under the old automatic-induction system, Minimum Fulfilled Criteria is what controlled that - it's 3 by default, so if a player met 3 criteria, he was in. That changed in FHM4 when we moved it to the committee system, which uses the criteria to determine who to nominate, and then which nominees to vote for (there are 17 simulated committee members in addition to you; their voting also gets a small random adjustment so it varies a bit from one to another.)
