Canada and USA are too good for WCH

Canada and USA national teams for WCH are always too strong comparing to reality. Isnt there any way to tweak it?

Yes. This is pretty annoying. They always choose same best players if possible so a lot of CAN/USA "best" players have a lot WC gold/silver medals.

I think there need to some other opinion to AI choose players (especially for Can and Usa teams) and maybe it would be like some players don't want always to join play at WC?

You can adjust the Nation Players Development in the Nation Edit Screen. Allows for higher caliber players to be created in game. It does take some time to "kick" in so to speak, but I've seen it work wonders (Adjusted Germany and they became on par with Russia, Canada, and US

Isn't choosing the best players the whole point if you're trying to win a tournament? Sorry you find it annoying, and sorry there isn't more global parity, but why would any country choose a sub-par team on purpose?

Yeah, I think handling it via the roster AI might be the best option for right now. I had a system drawn up at one point for making the players refuse some national team callups, but it would've been really clumsy to implement.

Because in reality you cant see best possible Canada / USA team on WCH.

Olympics and World Cup is another case.

For me, this is also a point where more work could be invested. Perhaps by having some of the top players from the top nations (Canada, USA, Sweden, Finnland, Russia, maybe Czech Republic) have a tendency not to participate if they have already won a tournament or if they are in a contract year (reduce the risk of an injury which maybe affected contract negotiations), etc. In 2019, Finland won the WCH without a single regular NHL player. It would be nice if therefore for example the european top nations travel to the tournament with some young hopes from their own league and additionally with some established and well known SHL, Liiga, KHL players and Canada or the USA nominate top talents of the current or last NHL Draft year without a single NHL game under their skates. It would be nice if the tournaments thereby were more balanced, higscoring games become rarer and even the top nations sometimes lose against Switzerland, Germany, Latvia or Slovakia.

Lot of options, that together could make another chaos. Let beginn with something simple.

There is still an option, Canada send very best team. Like in 2015. But that is only a exception as a rule.

Canada in reality could probably field two super teams both with a chance of gold for any tournament, except in goal, we are heading into a time when Canada does not have a super great goalie.

The US has great players now as well, so I don't get the complaint here, they are the two most best teams in hockey, 1A for Canada, 1 for US, .9 for Sweden and Russia.
