database question
So I have a nagging small issue in my save game that I've mentioned before. The Moncton Wildcats show up in the standings in the West division of the QMJHL, instead of the Maritimes division, where they should be.
It's not hugely important because the divisions don't matter a lot in the QMJHL except for how they affect the schedule, and the schedule seems to be OK. Moncton has a Martimes-ish schedule. But it could affect playoff seeding if Moncton "wins" the West, or if it's not credited with finishing first in the Maritimes when it should be. Unless the game is really seeing Moncton in the Maritimes and it's just a bug in the standings. Is there a way to edit the database to fix this, or is there another way to fix it? I don't want to trash the save. I made one quick attempt to get into the teams.dat file with an SQLite editor I've used in another game, but it didn't work and I really don't know what I'm doing. I do know how to back up my game as a quick start, which I think will protect me from dire consequences of mucking about. |

We fixed that in the most recent update. If you've already started a save prior to that, you can edit Moncton into the Maritimes in commissioner mode on July 1.

That's good, Jeff. Thanks. I didn't realize commissioner mode would do that. I'll play out the 21-22 season and then fix it.
They're middle of the pack in real life right now, so if it works out that way in my game (I'm a couple of months behind), it won't matter at all. |
