Crashing when trying to use Implement shadows on the game screen

In build 41, both the Modern 3D and Classic 3D, any attempt to use Shadows in game play results in a crash of the game.

Saved game files are being FTPd as per instructions under the filename "Borges_saved_games.dat"

I also note that Build 41 does not fix the stereo/double ball in the Classic 3D game format.

The saved game files will probably not help us here at all. What would be more useful is a trace file, as below. Thanks!
