Game Crashes when entering Serial Key

Game crashes every time I enter the serial key that I purchased. Have installed and uninstalled the app multiple times. Not sure what to do.

Just to clarify: you've downloaded the game from our website, installed, and are using the license key that was emailed to you (it'll be labeled "License Key" in the email and is a long string of groups of letters and numbers, usually beginning with an A)? We've had a few cases where people were trying to use a Steam key with the standalone version of the game.

Assuming that's not the problem, are you getting any sort of an error message after entering the key, or is it just crashing to the desktop as soon as you hit enter?

Correct downloaded the latest mac standalone version to my computer. Purchased the game through the website and received a code that starts with a A. As soon as I enter the code the game crashes and returns me to my desktop view

Which macOS version are you using?

OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6

An older version, but not so old that it should cause a problem. We haven't been able to think of any other possible explanation for a crash under those circumstances; if I send you a key for the Steam version, would you be willing to try that to see if it works without a crash?
